The History of an Aubergine

The Bhaktivedanta Manor August Newsletter did a short write-up of my recent visit to London:

‘Celebrity Chef visits Bhaktivedanta Manor’

“International celebrity chef Kurma Dasa from Australia conducted several workshops at Bhaktivedanta Manor. Kurma is famous for his unique style of presentation, combining his culinary know-how with a sharp sense of wit. He is the author of several bestselling cookbooks, and often features on TV shows in Australia.

Kurma’s cooking workshops were the star attraction at the last manor Open day in July. One lady guest remarked, “Kurma is funny, he knows what he’s doing and he’s practical. He can even tell you all about the history of an aubergine!”
Kurma also held a one-day “Summer Sizzlers” vegetarian BBQ course.

His enthusiasm for cooking and his light hearted presentation makes learning to cook an exhilarating experience. “I really enjoyed my two weeks at Bhaktivedanta Manor,” said Kurma dasa, “a truly wonderful place to take shelter. It was my first extended stay here, and hopefully not my last. I was blessed to share what Krishna has given me with so many appreciative and enthusiastic devotees. Thank you!”
