A Day at Selby

Recently, my old friend Fran from Selby Recreation Centre in Shenton Park here in Perth invited me to return to teach a cookery class for her quadraplegic and paraplegic clients. The previous class, conducted 4 years ago, had been a resounding success, and some of those residents plus a host of new ones returned again when I donated my services at a session there yesterday.

The inconvenience of life in a wheelchair did little to dampen the spirits of the great crew.

the gang at selby:

I cooked a fabulous North African lentil soup, a Basmati rice pulao, potato and haloumi cheese spring rolls and tomato chutney.

cooking at Selby:

The two hour program was action packed, and everyone was very appreciative.

I promised Fran I would return again next year.
